The text concerns the informal Roman triptych by Federico Fellini: Sweet Life (1960), Temptation of Dr. Antonio (an episode from film Boccaccio 70, 1962) and Rome (1972), which is a reverse “trilogy redemption” 1954–1957. Three Fellini`s films (visions its inhabitants) were treated as counterparts panels painting triptychs, thus making up whole that can be read both diachronically synchronously. Read simultaneously, they form perdition diagnosing disappearance holiness. As in where side are somewhat similar to each other central composition certain contrast them (not denoting distinctiveness), Fellini gave collective portraits (in first only social elite, second populus romanus), – portrait an individual (but still average Italian). emphasis was placed on how, installments triptych, diagnoses condition culture declining (as result “sins Italian”). tied together theme corruption decadence (affecting elite), Temptation… fight against one`s own demons (individuals), prophecy apocalypse. interpretation focused how these three shows desacralization world.
